Must I Wait?

(for "Alejandro")

What's the point?
How can I find something new?
I really can do whatever I want, so why should I do anything at all?
I already know I can do it.

Time and trials await us all. There's no romance in strife.
When you are able to cope with the world you should make the world a toy.
How better live your life than how you will?

There's no deeper meaning in playing in the world.
Why should you work harder than you must?
I know it sounds a slacker's utopian dream. The alternative is to rust.
Don't fade away as flecks of intellect and emotion crumble into dust.

When you know so much you know how much you know you surrender your sense of wonder.
You surrender your sense of flow.
Time passes, inimical to your desires, if you but knew what they are.
How to sunder yourself from the anticipated failure of a success attained that you already knew you could do?

Pick a dream. Pick a goal. Found a nation or tumble the empires of the world.
The work is where you have the fun. It's never in the goal.

Signs say success is a path to travel and never a goal to be achieved.
That's bullshit of the highest order.
Success is attainment at whatever level you perceive.
Success is stretching of a personal border.

There is no measure against which you may compete.
There is only subjective satisfaction replete with questions never answered to many specifications.

What's the point?
There's none unless you make it. We are all alone in that.

How can I find something new?
Make it for yourself, but make something you want and don't surrender to the temptation to make something somebody told you that you want.

I really can do whatever I want, so why should I do anything at all?
Because you can and they can't. Power is power for it's own sake. If you don't use it, you ain't got it.

I already know I can do it.
You do. They don't. You will. They won't.
