Roasted Pistacios with Mace and Cinnamon
Appetizer
Use shelled pistacios for this recipe, anything else is a lot of work. Mace gives this appetizer a very delicate nutmeg flavor.
Ingredients/Shopping List
- 1 1/2 cups shelled pistacios
- 1 teaspoon ground mace
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar

Directions
Heat the nuts (using no oil) until golden (about five minutes) over medium heat. Stir frequently. Add spices, sugar, and salt, stirring well. Remove from heat and dry on a baking sheet.
