Shrimp with Bacon and Cheese
Appetizer
A very tasty dish in the Mexican Seafood genre. This works as an appetizer or an entree. To serve as dinner double the number of shrimp and serve it on a bed of lettuce leaves or even on freschetta or foccacia.
Ingredients/Shopping List
- 4 slices montery jack cheese
- 8 jumbo shrimp, shelled and deveined
- 4 thick slices of smoked bacon
Per serving:
Protein: 34g Fat: 34g Carbohydrate: 2g
Directions
Sandwich each slice of cheese between two shrimp and wrap a slice of bacon around. Pierce with a toothpick.
Grill the shrimp on your barbecue grill or broil in your oven until the bacon is done. Be sure to turn regularly. Best served over a plate of romaine salad.
