Rub chops with 2 teaspoons seasoning salt and 1 teaspoon pepper.
In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Brown pork chops on each side.
Add onions and water to pan. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Turn chops over, and add remaining salt and pepper. Cover, and cook until water evaporates. Onions should turn light to medium brown.
Remove chops from pan, and serve topped with onions.
This dish goes well with new potatoes or garlic mashed potatoes. Asparagus or cauliflower in cheese sauce work well too for flavor combinations.
As a final note, if you prefer thicker chops (and I often do), you can bake the chops in the oven (or even get them mostly done in the microwave), then brown them and the onions in the skillet.
