Cheese Balls
Appetizer
A cheese ball with a more exotic air.You can role them in finely chopped pecans or finely chopped mint (or both) and serve them mounded into a little tower on a fancy serving plate.If these are cocktail fare, provide plates and toothpicks and napkins - the olive oil will drip.
Ingredients/Shopping List
- ½ pound mild chèvre
- 6 ounces feta cheese, drained
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ¼ cup finely chopped mint leaves
- ¼ cup olive oil
Per serving:

Directions
Combine cheeses with feta and cayenne and mix well. Form the mixture into approximately two dozen small balls. Put the mit or nuts on a plate and roll the balls to cover. Chill on a plate for at least two hours.
Remove from the refrigerator and let stand for half an hour. Arrange the balls into a pyramid on a serving plate and pour the olive oil over all. Serve with toothpicks.
