The recipes in this collection are from a variety of sources. Some originate with Bessie Jett, my grandmother, a remarkably good cook in the "old fashioned" sense. Many recipes I've found on the internet or have begged them from restaurants, friends, or relatives. I acknowledge the source but rarely, because I seldom remember the source. However, thank you, one and all, for these wonderful dishes.
