Pork Apple Burgers

Main Dish, Sandwich

Pork chops with applesauce are a perennial favorite; why not a pork burger with apple? The addition of pineapple makes this a very special burger. 20 minutes to prepare and 10 minutes to cook makes this an "after work" meal that is quick and special.

Directions

Preheat grill for medium high heat. This dish can be prepared in a frying pan or on a griddle, but I really prefer the grill.

Mix together ground pork, apple, onion, garlic, teriyaki sauce, and egg. Form into eight patties.

N.B. This mixture may be a bit dry. If so, add some pineapple juice.

Lightly oil grill. Grill burgers for 10 minutes, or until well done. Do not under cook these burgers.

Toast buns on grill. Serve topped with pineapple slices.
