Pork Shoulder Mexicano (Slow Cooker)

Main Dish

This dish is not by any means authentically Mexican. It's easy and it's spicy with a Mexican twist. This takes only about 5 minutes to prepare. Cooking time is 8 hours. You get 8 or more servings.

Directions

Rub pork shoulder or loin with taco seasoning. Add any left over to the Slow Cooker.

Sprinkle with chili powder or red pepper flakes if desired.

Add water until pork is covered. Cover, cook on low for 8 hours.

Serve as slices or shredded. This is great in warm tortillas with some traditional Mexican garnishes, salsa, guacamole, or what you like. I enjoy some lettuce, grated cheese, minced onion, olives, or sour cream in any combination.
