Three Bean Casserole
Main Dish
This is a very easy recipe. Preparation time is minimal, cooking time is short. Another of the one-dish meals I'm so fond of, this is both adult and kid friendly. Gives 8 servings easily.
Ingredients/Shopping List
- 1 pound beef frankfurters, sliced
- 1 (15 ounce) can pork and beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can butter beans
- 1 (16 ounce) can chili beans, drained
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine listed ingredients and mix. I prefer a large wooden spoon for mixing this as it doesn't crush the beans. Pour mixture into lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Bake uncovered at 350°F for 1 hour.
Everyone has brand preferences, I suppose. As to beans, I prefer Bush's. For hot dogs, I prefer Nathan's above all others, and I like the "long" ones, you know
those "bigger than the bun" kind.
